r2p Overcoming Overwhelm

Feeling stressed?

Overcoming Overwhelm

Resilience built before we encounter stress and trauma gives us the strength to cope better and mitigate the effects when they do impact us.
  • Do you feel that there’s too much to do and too little time to do it?
  • Are the stresses and strains of everyday life making you feel overwhelmed?
  • Would you like to do something about it – do you really want to do something?
If you relate to any or all of the above, then Overcoming Overwhelm is for you.

Today's pace of life - both personal and professional - seems to bring with it the risk of feeling stressed and even overwhelmed. If we can get our everyday life in balance, when those inevitable things hit us, we are better prepared and able to cope with them.

Learning how our minds work (from a practical standpoint), what holds us back from realising more of our potential and how we can set and achieve positive goals is an invaluable skill. Understanding stress, what causes us to feel stressed, how we can take control and build our resilience can all contribute to a better life!
  • A simple overview of how our minds work
  • The building blocks of mastering your mind
  • What holds us back and how to do some mental "spring cleaning"
  • Kanban - a way of managing our lives
  • Understanding stress and how to build resilience (including some practical ideas)
  • How to set and achieve positive goals and visions
  • Physical, emotional and nutritional wellbeing
  • Understanding our personality type and how that affects our communications and relationships
  • Understanding our triggers and those of others

This course supports people with stress from day-to-day life, helping them to overcome their overwhelm and develop their resilience, giving them more 'band width' to deal with more serious events. It is not group therapy and does not replace professional intervention(s) for those with more complex issues (eg PTSD). We strongly encourage anyone who feels that they may benefit from some therapeutic intervention to seek it out and not to 'suffer in silence'.
